Abstract
Frank Wilbur Wright (1886-1950) of Portland, Oregon spent most of his adult life in the military, with service spanning the Oregon Naval Militia, Oregon National Guard, U.S. Army Air Service, Air Corps, and Air Force, and both World Wars. The collection contains commissions, photographs, identification cards, and other materials relating to Wright's long military career.

The collection is comprised of forty-two (42) black-and-white photographs depicting aircraft and military personnel of World War I and World War II. The photographs were purchased by Zwar; no personal connection to the subjects of the photographs is known. The World War I era Photographs is a small collection of twenty-four black-and-white vintage prints of unknown origin that depict aircraft and military personnel of World War I, circa 1914-1919. Scenes include military aircraft and personnel, primarily German forces. A few aircraft are shown in flight but most prints show aircraft that have been shot down or crashed.
